PALIKIR, Pohnpei—On September 13th, 2022, the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia(FSM) elected the Honorable Aren B. Palik to become the ninth Vice President of the FSM. Immediately after being elected, the Honorable Aren B. Palik took his Oath of Office and has since assumed the duties and responsibilities of the Vice Presidency.
Prior to being elected as the ninth Vice President of the FSM, the Honorable Aren B. Palik served as a Senator in the FSM Congress representing the State of Kosrae where he held the position of Vice Chair on both the Congressional Committee on Education and the Congressional Committee on Resources & Development.

Vice President Palik is married to Mrs. Adelita Abraham Palik, and they have four children: Sonja, Ryan, Lloyd, and Jason.
