Ceremony for Staff Sergeants Steve J. Asher and Jerry A. Tolenoa who were promoted to the rank of Warrant Officers in the United States Marine Corps

Quantico, Virginia—On February 1st, 2023, His Excellency, Ambassador Akillino H. Susaia, attended the joint ceremony for the pinning of both Staff Sergeants Steve Asher and Jerry Tolenoa who were promoted to the rank of Warrant Officers in the United States Marine Corps. The ceremony was held at the McHugh Community Center, Quantico Marine Base in Viriginia. It was conducted by Captain Jack J. Kun. Warrant Officers Asher, Tolenoa and Captain Kun are all from Kosrae State, Federated States of Micronesia.

Warrant Officer Steve J. Asher enlisted on January 20, 2009, in Hilo, Hawaii. He is married to Jenny from the Marshall Islands. They have two sons, Mark, and Logan.  His fellow Marine, Warrant Officer Jerry A. Tolenoa, enlisted on January 26, 2015, as a Staff Sergeant out of Honolulu, Hawaii.

In his brief remarks, Ambassador Susaia expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the invitation to attend the ceremony and congratulated Warrant Officers Asher and Tolenoa for  being promoted to the rank of Warrant Officers in the U. S. Marine Corps.
