U.S Ambassador-designate Jennifer L. Johnson Pays Courtesy Call on FSM Ambassador-designate Jackson T. Soram

Washington, D.C.- Today, August 8th, Ms. Jennifer L. Johnson, the United States Ambassador-designate to the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), paid a courtesy call on Mr. Jackson T. Soram, FSM Ambassador-designate to the United States. The meeting took place at the FSM Embassy in Washington D.C.

The call marked the first official meeting between the two Ambassadors. In welcoming Ambassador-designate Johnson to the Embassy, Ambassador Soram congratulated her on her confirmation as the new U.S. Ambassador to the FSM. He thanked Ambassador Johnson for the visit and took the occasion to reaffirm the enduring relationship between the United States and the FSM.

Ambassador Johnson thanked Ambassador Soram for accepting the courtesy call, and
also congratulating him on his confirmation as the new FSM Ambassador to the United States. She thanked Ambassador Soram for accepting the courtesy call and reciprocated the same sentiments of collaboration and partnership between the two countries – the U.S. and the FSM. She’s excited and looked forward to moving to the FSM as soon as possible to officially present her credentials and settle in into Pohnpei.

The meeting concluded with both Ambassadors wishing the best for one another.  Ambassador Soram was staffed by First Secretary Raleigh Welly and First Secretary Nena Waguk.
