PALIKIR, Pohnpei—Following the passing of the late Honorable Derensio S. Konman, Senator representing the State of Chuuk’s Election District #3 in the 22nd FSM Congress, a vacancy in the Congress has been declared and a Special Election for the vacant seat shall be held on November 12th, 2021.
FSM citizens residing abroad who are eligible to vote in Chuuk’s Election District #3 are encouraged to request to vote by absentee ballot. The closing date for such a request is October 8th, 2021. The closing date for the filing of nomination petitions is October 3rd , 2021.
